What is it?
ArcTyp is the creator of a totally new process in metal work that permits extremely vivid portraits from live models in metal. Unlike cast resins or plaster molds painted to resemble metal, Flashcasting uses a proprietary process and aerospace technology to deliver incredibly vivid body casts. These pieces are accurate to the pores of the skin, feather light and available in aluminum, zinc, copper or bronze - all at a fraction of the cost of traditional lost-wax processes

Flashcasting is a solution that addresses all these interests and more. For the first time, people can capture vivid detail in real metal for a fraction of the cost of traditional casting methods - all in a compact timeline with multiple copies possible.

How Does it Work?
The lifecasting process is completely non-toxic, non-allergenic and safe for pregnant mothers. The real magic comes once the original mold is complete, then converted into metal using a system that sprays molten material into high temperature molds. The lifecasting process requires about 2 hours, and finished metal pieces can be delivered within a week. New works are ready to hang on walls, and can be mounted on fine wood or stone. Custom installations and special lighting for the pieces are also available.

Special Projects
Do you have a special project outside of lifecasting or figurative portraits? The Flashcasting process also works for commercial or industrial applications in a variety of ways. In addition, the metal spraying process can be used to coat objects made of everything from wood to steel, ranging in size from a golf ball to a spiral staircase. On-site services are also available.
